| I found it in the archives but you have to pay for it ,which I didn't. The newspapers are getting tight for money these days. Oh well! |

| I did end up catching a couple largemouth at the tahoe keys, in the channel, where the marina enters into the lake. The Keys are a private community and you can fish in there with say a paddleboat, but for the most part they get weird if they see you around their docks and what not. There is a quieter pond like area around there, with less boat traffic, to fish where Venice Street and 15th Street meet. Saw lots of small fish in there. Water is pretty low however. People I talked to seemed pretty bummed that the bass are even there. Met one guy who fished for bass and he has caught some fish around 5lbs or so in the channel area. Best luck would probably be to have a small boat to get inside the keys or to hit the area around 15th street from what I can tell. Good Luck to anyone headin up that way to check it out. Maybe try one day fishing for trophy rainbows at Caples Lake. They stock them there 5-15lbs. Fall is supposedly a great time to fish and boat rentals are reasonable. Also had fun up there crushing the Eastern Brook Trout at Red Lake. Opposite side of dam, where theres a huge tree laying down in the water with some stumps around. All fish were pretty small, but the action was really good fishing powerbait on the bottom. Bless. |

sorry, found that in July. I didn't know it wouldn't work. Yeah, they are not happy about them being in there, because its hurting the trout and native fish. So, catch and release around here, but in Tahoe, it is actually good for you to take them and cook them. _________________ There is a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an Idiot |
