FISHING REPORTS: JUNE 14, 2007
By JOSEPH HARGREAVES
Clearlake
Several of my customers have reported unusually late spawning fish with some fish up to 7 lbs being caught on the beds near Lakeport. Most guys are throwing some kind of topwater early like White frogs or super spooks but best bet is to spend the day worming and jigging in tulles or docks.

Phoenix Lake
Reports of consistent catches in the 2-3 lb range on dropshot, leadhead grubs, and tube jigs. Bigger fish are suspended right now so top bait would be lead head grubs in Smoke w/ Flake, Chartreuse Pepper, and White.

Alpine Lake
Fishing is still a little slope up at Alpine but the best bets would be the dropshot, wacky rigged Senkos, and super flukes. Look for wood cover in 4-15 ft of water.

Nicasio & Stafford Lake
Both lakes are still getting blasted with wind and most fish are hitting the dropshot and the Senko. Look for some hot nights with no wind because an awesome frog/top water bite is ready to bust loose.
