Lake Stafford
Stafford is low and hammered producing some smaller fish but not exactly a great bite. Just the same with the water this low you can put your baits in front of a lot of fish and hopefully some stable cool weather will kick off a good reaction bite in the next few weeks. Best bets are still the drop shot worm, football head jigs, shallow crankbaits and topwater/wake baits.

Clearlake
Bob Higgins of Limit Out Bait & Tackle in Clearlake reports slow fishing during the daytime with the best bets being targeting deep docks and rock pile, with drop shot finesse worms, C-rigs, and jigs. Joe Poole at Tackle It in Lakeport has a similar report but adds that some bigger fish are being caught on Basstrix swimbaits and 3 lb Mighty Minnows fished parallel to boat docks in the south end. A knock off Basstrix bait called the Money Minnow is also working well.
